    Brad,

It’s nice yo see you still about! Thats good. I realize this is not the most appropriate place but I have a question:

Why do you not respond to any email I have sent you? Normally you do. At first I thought you were busy, then I thought you were sick, now I think you just hate me.

Sorry everyone else who has to read this.

Hey Craig… well, yeah, I would say that it wouldn’t be the most appropriate place, but… I had been crazy busy, and some days not even by the computer at all. I apologize if you think that by not hearing back from me I hated you. You seemed to be more correct with your first assumption of me being busy. I won’t go into the specifics from here on in, but I’m glad you are feeling better and I’m sorry that I had been unavailable. All my best~

Glad to hear from you brad.

I’m sure it is not easy making these vlogs but a lot of us out there sure do enjoy them and use them as inspiration. Life can get pretty sticky!

    Brad,

Nice to see you around, but theres no need to apologise. Sometimes there is no need to share want we are feeling and doing. But as you know, when we do decide to put something out there it feels awsome clicking that Submit/Post button.

I admitted I’m a blinkered walker, thanks for showing me that. May be its because I don’t want to lose focus on my on personal goals; that issues that effect our gay community take a back seat.

Thanks for making me think again.

    Mark.

    Brad, great post.

The struggle and sacrifice can be hard, but the rewards are worth the fight. I made the decision a few years ago to be as visible as I can within the corporation where I work and it was well worth the sacrifices of “friends” who then told me I was going to hell.

Saint Augustine said, “Hope has two beautiful daughters: anger and courage; anger at the way things are, and courage to change them.” There is nothing wrong with anger against injustice and you will certainly need courage to be a non-violent warrior for change.

We have to allow the anger to make us all willing warriors

    I am still walking.

Um, just want to say hi, I guess. I can’t remember if I’ve left a message before or not (it’s been a while), but it was great to see that update email in the inbox. You’re not always saying the cheeriest of things, but they make things serious, but you always mix them in with cool interesting things, or something. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t be writing this at 2:30AM. So. I’ve always thought it’s the lots of little things which over time make big things, because all the big things happen because of lots of small things anyway. Very rarely is one thing caused just by one other thing. So that’s what we ought to be doing - what we can, within reason. Um, that said, I feel very much like I don’t understand how the whole thing fits together at all yet, because I’m 15 and not out yet, although I’m lucky in that I can’t see there being problems for me, and I realise that. I don’t feel that link you do to all the other gay people out there (yet), so… anyway. What you said about being out and as proud as you can, I’d like to be like that. I’d like to come out to the best friend IRL soon, which’d be a start?

The chats seem a fun/good/insertpositiveadjectivehere idea, but they’re a bit past my bedtime generally, and I don’t like skyping whilst there are other people in the house, regardless of who it’s with, but everyone else around here, go for it. You know you want to. :)

Hope everything goes well/better for you and the boyfriend, even if you have been put back into the closet.

Hey Brad. It’s so good to see your smiling face and hear you talk again. And if it’s any comfort, your hair looks much better than when we saw you last.

    You always make me think.

Keep walking. In a perfect world, we probably wouldn’t have to place a monetary value on our happiness, but as its proven daily, this isn’t a perfect world. I really hope things work out for you and your partner.

    Peace.

    Hello Brad;

First of all I have to say welcome back, I have missed your blogs. I must say that this one has hit me hard, and it is not the first one to do that. I would love to get the chance to get on line with you on Skype and talk about some of the things that need to be said. But I hope that if you we can get a good group of people that it could branch off to be a show that we can get as many people listening to as possible.

Are you doing the call show? Let me know if you plan on getting one together I will try and make it a point to get in on it. I too am going through a lot right now with my living situation so I under stand that. For me it may soon be over be the middle of March.

Stay strong. I believe that everything in life happens for a reason, and we are just best to go along with it.

    Glad your back!
    Arick

    Brad,

Really glad to see you back. Thanks for your courage and honesty. You are an inspiration.

About the monks — China invaded Tibet almost 50 years ago and since that time the Tibetans have been seeking their freedom. The Chinese have committed genocide against the Tibetans killing over 1 million people there. They also continue to practice cultural genocide by destroying the Tibetan way of life, their history and their religion. They continue to move massive numbers of Chinese into Tibet and are working hard to destroy the amazing land the Tibetans have lived in for thousands of years. The monks in the video were seeking to escape Chinese-controlled Tibet to go to India where the Dalai Lama has lived in exile since the Chinese invasion.

The horror that humans inflict on others, whether governments in Tibet, or the Sudan or Iraq and so many others places, or individuals like the two 19 year olds you mentioned — how can anyone with a mind and a heard not be moved and saddened? And how we can keep on walking in the face of those horrors remains to me an enourmous and necessary challenge.
