Remember Lynn Smith? I just got this email. She is in Thailand, traveling by herself, volunteering with orphaned children:

hey there friend…all i can say is pack your bags and get your buns over here…..AMAZING AMAZING…you would love this country…the people, the monks, the culture, the food, the weather, the water….AHHHHHHH…right now I am on this little island called Ko Phi Phi…if you look on a map it is right off of Phuket (where the movie the beach was filmed)….i have never seen water so green…crystal clear, golden sand….the definition of paradise…so get this, 70% of the people from this island died on the day of the tsunami….this was the worst hit place in all of thailand…but the spirit of the people here is incredible….there are about 200 kids here on this little island without homes, families, the kids are so cute and so brown…. really miss you… i have been doing yoga on the beach in the mornings and getting thai massages in the evening…life is good…traveling really does change you doesn’t it….opens up your world, your mind in a new way…..anyway love and miss you…wish you were here….
